Over Thanksgiving 2024 I got out of the house for a bit and went to explore the area of Tonto National Forest on the Salt River just outside of Mesa, AZ. Initially my photo walk started with my trust Fuji GW 690 and Instax Wide cameras, but as I walked down to this corner to get a closer look at the white horse I knew this shot had to be a Panoramic. I found my angle and hurried back to the truck to grab my 6×17 camera. I returned to find I had the area to myself. The horse being a talented subject had positioned himself just so as I finished my setup and held this pose (as well as a horse can) until I was done shooting. Resulting in what is my personal favorite photograph from Arizona yet.
